Bragging Rights is Gainesville’s free play arcade bar with 200+ arcade, pinball, and redemption games, unlimited play for one price, plus pizza, wings, candy, and a wild variety of drinks.
People come here to play like they mean it and chase their name in lights at Bragging Rights.

You’ll see families, students, first dates, regulars, and full-on birthday squads. Your job is to make it fun, keep it moving, and gently nudge them toward the prize games so they walk out holding something they can brag about.

What we look for

You:

Have a personality. Like, an actual one.

Can talk to a 7 year old and a stressed-out event planner in the same five minutes.

Stay calm when it’s busy and don’t melt down if a line forms.

Show up on time, do what you say you’ll do, and don’t bring drama.

OPEN PART-TIME ROLES

Front Desk

This is air traffic control. You’re the first face, last goodbye, and the one everyone comes to when they’re confused, lost, or convinced a game “ate” them.

You’ll:

Greet guests, explain how free play works, and sell admissions and memberships.
Point people to the right games, especially redemption and prize games when they’re in the mood to win stuff.
Keep the line moving and wristbands sorted
Answer “What should we do?” with something more interesting than “I don’t know.”
Help with basic issues and get backup when a machine or guest needs more.

You’re perfect for this if you’re naturally chatty, can project without yelling, remember faces fast, and like being in the middle of everything.

Concessions / Bar

You keep the fuel flowing, from slushies and soda to local beer, cocktails in a can, pizza, wings, and late-night snacks.

You’ll:

Take and prep food and drink orders quickly and accurately.
Check IDs and keep service safe and responsible.
Suggest fun combos and upsell without being annoying.
Keep the bar, counters, and service areas clean and stocked.
Help steer guests back into play, especially toward prize-heavy games when they’re feeling lucky.

You’re right for this if you move fast, keep your cool when tickets are flying, and can joke with guests while still counting change correctly.

OPEN PROMOTIONAL ROLES

Event Host

You’re the ringleader for all the weird, wonderful stuff that happens between “open” and “last game.”

Think: themed date nights, foosball face-offs, skeeball leagues, couch co-op nights, and any collaboration you can dream up with campus groups, meetups, or local weirdos with a following. If it gets people playing, yelling, and coming back next week, it’s your territory.

You’ll:

Set up and run events like date nights, tournaments, leagues, and specials around big games.
Host quick challenges and “beat the host” moments on arcade and redemption games.
Keep brackets, signups, and prizes organized so it feels fun, not chaotic.
Work with the team to pitch and test new event ideas and collabs.
Make sure people know what’s happening, where to go, and when to come back for the next one.

You’re ideal here if you like a mic, love a bracket, and can turn “slow Tuesday” into “why is it this packed on a Tuesday?”

Promoter / Campus Rep

You’re the person who somehow knows every club, every group chat, and which bar everyone is “definitely not going to” on Thursday.

As a campus rep, you are Bragging Rights on legs. You get students in the door, fill up date nights, tournaments, and leagues, and make sure every group on campus knows this is where you go when you are done hanging out in someone’s living room.

You’ll:

Represent Bragging Rights with clubs, Greek life, intramurals, and student orgs
Set up group nights, takeovers, and league nights, then actually get people to show up
Use your own trackable QR code so every guest who checks in from your promo puts money in your pocket
Help with flyering, tabling, and simple on campus stunts that get attention
Nudge people to post, tag us, and show off their wins and prizes
Feed us ideas: what students are into, what they are bored of, and what would make them show up on a Tuesday

You are great for this if you live on your phone, love bringing people together, and can turn “I’ll think about it” into “fine, send the link” without being annoying.
