UPCOMING EVENTS

Every Thursday:

Every Thursday is our weekly open mic comedy featuring local talent and touring features when available. Usually free, paid tickets may occur when touring comedians come through. Comedians sign up here to guarantee a spot performing, list goes live every Tuesday at 6pm.

Saturday, October 10th

Every comic starts with a normal set. Then Ty Nimmzz yells “Sabotage,” and they have to do whatever the card says. Finish the bit as a different character. Talk like a robot. Trade places with the comic who went before you. The audience picks your topic, and the audience decides when you’re allowed to stop.

No restarting. You work with whatever just happened.

Signup 6:30, show 7. Living Life Louder Entertainment presents Sabotage at Bragging Rights, 113 NW 8th Ave.
Stick around after and the largest arcade in the Southeast is right there.

Tuesday, October 13th

Andy Woodhull
Tuesday, October 13 · 8 PM · $20

Andy Woodhull has done stand-up on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Conan, and The Late Late Show with James Corden, and he taped a half hour for Comedy Central. You may know him as the host of Totally Funny Animals on The CW, or from his Dry Bar Comedy special, which has millions of views on YouTube.

A lot of his material comes from home life, including an hour titled World’s Greatest Stepdad. It’s smart, friendly stand-up that works on a Tuesday night with your coworkers, your partner, or your parents.

Your ticket includes free play in the arcade before and after the show.

Friday, October 23rd

JDaFunnyMan headlines the Halloween show at Bragging Rights. Wear a costume. There are prizes for the best ones, and the comics have to work in front of a room full of them. JDA Funny Man, also known as Jaye D Jones, is a Florida-based stand-up comedian and digital content creator known for his regional comedy appearances and skits.

Doors 7, show 8. $15 at the door. Food and drinks available.

Living Life Louder Entertainment presents Costume Comedy at Bragging Rights, 105 NW 8th Ave in Gainesville. Stay after and the largest arcade in the Southeast is right there.

Sunday, November 8th, 2pm

Niels Sayers does a magic show that runs on the audience. He brings people up, works the crowd, and lands jokes for the kids and for whoever drove them. Your kid might end up on stage. So might you.

He has been performing since he was eleven, in theaters, nightclubs, cruise ships, and theme parks around the world. He has appeared at Planet Hollywood and the Tropicana in Las Vegas and at the Laugh Factory, and he has been on Pawn Stars. The Society of American Magicians, Chapter 210, named him Magician of the Year.

One show, 2pm on a Sunday. With Comedian Stephanie Norman.

More on Niels at nielssayers.com.

Saturday, November 14th, 7pm

Comedians argue ridiculous cases with zero prep, and the audience serves as the jury. Judge Ty Nimmzz presides. Each comic gets a case, makes an argument, defends it under fire, and then the room votes on who wins.

Tonight’s docket includes Pineapple Belongs on Pizza, Cereal Is Soup, Your Ex Deserves a Second Chance, and Florida Is a Well-Run State. That last one may need a public defender. Other cases could come up too, from Dogs Are Better Than People to Naps Should Be a Paid Job, so the comics will have to think fast.

Doors open an hour before showtime. Spend it on the claw machines and the prize wall, then take your seat in the jury box.

Presented by LLL Entertainment.

Thursday, November 19th, 8pm

Jenna Kim Jones started doing stand-up while working at The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. Since then, a Dry Bar special, SiriusXM specials, and four kids’ worth of material.

Observational, self-deprecating, and clean, so bring whoever you want.

Doors at 8 PM. Bragging Rights Live, 105 NW 8th Ave. Stay after and the largest arcade in the Southeast is right there.

Pitch us your show

Gainesville makes more shows than it has rooms. If you produce one, comedy, music, trivia, screenings, a podcast, a market, something we haven’t thought of, this is a stage with an audience already standing next to it. Send what it is, when it runs, who it’s for, and what you’ve done: marketing@braggingrights.com, subject line “Producer.”
